The Process The vision of a sustainable society is one that enhances the quality of both human life and the environment while living within the earth's capacity to sustain it. When considering building systems and thermal comfort, our design efforts begin at the initial stages of building planning and layout. The orientation, shape, and exterior features of a building, along with its immediate surroundings, have a profound effect on the energy loads and thermal comfort within it. The process is what makes design sustainable.
